Bioengineer Cell and Gene Biotechnology and Master in Medical Genetics
Charlotte began working at Lotus Bakeries' R&D department straight out of university. She transferred to Flanders’ FOOD in 2008 as supervisor of the ‘Taste’ project. After that she also supervised various projects focused on sugar and fat reduction, product optimisation and nutrition.
As the ‘New and Shifting Resources’ Program Manager, Charlotte has now become an expert in the field of alternative natural resources, cellular agriculture and protein transition. As ‘Know-how & Inspiration Manager’ she is also responsible for coordinating the strategic goal ‘Lead to Knowledge’, supported by the inspiration team (iTeam), inspiring companies and providing state-of-the-art knowledge through newsletters, events and publications.
Both at work and in her spare time, she is a creative Jill-of-all-trades who loves to experiment in the kitchen, makes her own clothes and converts furniture. She also likes to travel a lot and far, away with her analogue camera always in hand.
